If you know anything about me, then you probably know how obsessed I am with brunch. Since moving back to Vancouver, I have secured a few classics in which I can get my fix of avocado toast. At the top of my list is Nelson the Seagull, situated in Gastown and home to some of the best open-faced sandwiches and avocado toast in the city. Besides from the obvious, one of my favourite dishes on the menu is the Ploughman’s, which consists of cheese and mango chutney served open-faced on their homemade bread. Not only is this a good brunch spot (they serve this stuff all day, everyday), but it’s a great place to grab a coffee and curl up with a book on a rainy day (which in Vancouver, happens to be most days).

As for my outfit, I’m wearing my new favourite culottes from Aritzia’s Spring Collection, that I can attest are probably the most comfortable pants you will ever meet (hello elastic waistband). I paired the pants (shants?) with a button-up shirt I recently picked up at Zara (they may still have it in stores, but they are sold out online), as well as my usual J.Crew Melton Wool Topcoat (sold out for now, but stay tuned next winter). I added my laptop case from Poketo, because I absolutely love a pop of pale pink, and completed the outfit with my Vagabond boots because they actually go with everything in my wardrobe, plus they’re super comfy.

Tell me in the comments below, where do you guys like to brunch? Any recommendations are very welcome.

Happy weekend! May brunch be ever in your favour!
